How do I start a Moon Walk team?

Go to the Resources page and review and print the “Team Captain Documents” posted there. Refer to the Team Captain Guide: Countdown to Success and the Team Captain Website Instructions to walk you through the process.

When will my order be ready for pickup?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail (probably on a Thursday afternoon) to let you know when your order will be ready for pickup at Moon Walk Central. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO PICK UP YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE CONFIRMATION E-MAIL. Note: If you submit your order before midnight on a Tuesday, we will make every effort to have your order ready for pickup on Friday of the same week.

How do I invite my team members to log their own miles?

There are two ways: First, you can click the “Send Logging Invitation” box when you are entering a team member’s registration information. Your team members will receive their invitations after you activate them (see "How do I activate my team members?" below). If you didn’t do this during registration, once your team members are activated, you can send them an invitation through the “Send invitations to log miles” function. You will need to Log In to access this function.

How do I activate my team members?

From the home page, click the Log In link, then enter your user name and password (if you have forgotten one or both, click the link to request them online). If you have team members to activate, you will see a link that says “Activate Team Members.” Click the link and, where indicated, enter the Activation Code found at the top of the label on the order you picked up at Moon Walk Central. The Activation Code also is printed at the top of your team’s order summary found inside the package. Once the team members from that order are activated, you will not need the Activation Code again. You will receive a new Activation Code for each order.

How do I log team member miles?

Team members who have accepted an invitation from you to log their own miles will be able to log their own miles. However, you will see the miles they have logged and also will be able to log miles for them if requested by them.

To log miles for any team member, click the Log In link and enter your user name and password. Click "Enter Team Miles." On the page that appears, enter the total number of miles (e.g. 21.8) each walker reported in the open box next to their name; use your mouse or tab button to move from box to box, then click the "Update" button. Mileage logging for each week ends on Friday at noon. If a walker misses a week of logging, simply add those miles to their next week’s total.

Enter miles only. If a walker is using a step counter, steps can be converted to miles by dividing by 2,000 (i.e. 2000 steps = 1 mile). If you inadvertently enter the wrong mileage total, simply use your mouse to highlight the incorrect total, then type the correct one and click "update." You may do this any time before the following Friday at noon.

If you enter a wrong mileage total and it triggers a page that says "New Incentive To Order," click "CANCEL." Then correct the mileage total as noted above.

How do I order and receive my team members' free Moon Walk t-shirt?

If team members are logging their own miles: When their mileage total reaches 100 miles, a Web page will appear that asks them to select or verify their t-shirt size. They will need to click “Save Selection” to reserve their t-shirt.

If you are logging team members’ miles: After you log miles for the week, you will be asked to verify team members’ sizes for any t-shirts earned that week. (To verify, refer to your team’s hand-written registration list or contact the team member.) Click “Save Selections” to reserve their t-shirts.

For all team captains: As team captain, you will be able to see a list of all incentives earned but not ordered by logging in and scrolling to the bottom of the page. When you are ready to submit and order, hit the "Submit Incentive Order" button. An e-mail will automatically go to team members who earned Moon Walk t-shirts to let them know the order has been placed and that you will let them know when their incentive has been picked up. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when you order is ready for pickup (see "When will my order be ready for pickup?" above).
