Moon Walk School Team Overview

The Moon Walk School Program is available to any school, grade level or classroom with team captains willing to oversee the program. The program could be administered during recess by classroom teachers, during PE by a PE teacher, before and/or after school by a parent or others or any other way a motivated team captain would like to make it happen.

To simplify the process and make it affordable for all, there will be no charge and only one reward: a Moon Walk pencil for all registered participants. The Moon Walk school program will begin April 4 and run through the end of the school year. The community program will continue until June 27.

The free school program is designed to get kids walking for health and fun. Participants will get the satisfaction of striving toward a classroom and/or school walking goal, as well as knowing their mileage is contributing to our community goals.

Moon Walk School Team Captains will be responsible for coordinating walking activities for the students and reporting their team’s weekly mileage on this Web site. Our School Team Captain Guide describes these duties in detail.
